Thank you…and the future…
Posted: 19th June 2015
Thank you too for the many kind messages and cards that we have received since it was announced that I am leaving. They remind me what a wonderful place this is to live and minster, what a privilege it has been to serve you for these last 11 years, and how much we shall miss you. On Palm Sunday the Archdeacon, Paul Taylor, explained the process for finding a new Team Rector, which is likely to be quite lengthy. This is first time we have had to advertsie for an external candidate for 15 years.
I am delighted that, during the vacancy, Rev John Rennie has agreed to co-ordinate a ‘Management Group’ of minsters and others to ensure that mission and ministry continue to thrive.
Please pray for John and this team, and give them the same support you have so generously given to me.
If you are able, do come along on 21st June, 10.00am at Maiden Newton for our final service in this team. It would be great to see you there, and to share time with you in the village hall afterwards.
